Some electrical problems can wait for an appointment. Others cannot. We answer the phone around the clock, and we tell you honestly on the call whether you need someone tonight or whether it can safely wait until morning.
Overview
Call it in immediately if you smell burning, see smoke or scorching, hear buzzing or crackling from a panel, or feel heat coming off a breaker panel or switch plate. Those are the ones where waiting is a real risk. If there are flames or the smell is strong, get everyone out and call 911 first, then call us.
What happens on the call: we ask what you're seeing and tell you what to do right now — often that's shutting off one specific breaker, or the main, before we arrive. If it's genuinely safe to wait until morning, we say so instead of selling you a night call. If it isn't, we come out.
What we handle after hours: dead circuits and half-dead houses, failed main breakers and burnt lugs, panels that have overheated, damaged service equipment after monsoon wind or water, and getting a safe temporary condition in place when the permanent repair needs daylight, parts, or a utility crew.
Some things aren't ours to fix. If the fault is upstream of your meter it belongs to APS or SRP, and there's no charge from us for telling you that — we'd rather point you at the right number than bill you to stand in your yard.
